How Ed-admin is making onboarding simpler for schools using Snapplify Engage
Ed-admin helps schools manage the information and processes that keep their institutions running, bringing areas such as student records, academics, admissions, finance and administration into one system.
For schools using both Ed-admin and Snapplify Engage, that created an opportunity: instead of asking school administrators to set up the same users and structures again in another platform, we could connect the two systems and put information the school already maintains to work.
Making onboarding simpler
Without an integration, introducing another education platform can mean another round of administration. Student and staff accounts need to be created, roles assigned, and classes or groups set up, even though much of that information already exists within the school’s management system.
Ed-admin worked with us to simplify that process for our shared school customers.
The integration connects Ed-admin with Snapplify Engage, allowing relevant student, staff, role and class information to be synchronised between the platforms. This information can be used to create and keep users and groups aligned in Engage, rather than requiring school administrators to recreate them manually.
Users can also use their existing Ed-admin account to access Engage, removing the need for schools to create and manage an additional set of Engage accounts.
Keeping school information connected
The benefit continues beyond initial onboarding.
When relevant user, role or class information changes in Ed-admin, the integration helps keep that information aligned with Engage. This allows the school to continue managing its information in the system it already uses, rather than maintaining the same information separately across platforms.
For school administrators, that means less duplicate setup and a simpler way to manage access. For Ed-admin, it means the information its customers already manage can connect with another part of their school’s digital environment.
Building towards more connected school administration
The integration also creates a foundation for Ed-admin and Snapplify to do more together.
We’re continuing to work with the Ed-admin team to explore how a more connected system can support additional capabilities and further streamline school administration.
The principle remains simple: when information already exists in a system a school trusts and uses every day, schools shouldn’t have to repeatedly recreate it to benefit from other education technology.
A simpler way to connect education platforms
Ed-admin’s integration demonstrates what connecting with Snapplify can enable for other school management systems and EdTech platforms.
Integration isn’t only about moving data between two systems. Done well, it can remove repetitive administration, simplify onboarding and access, and help different education tools work together around the information a school already maintains.
By connecting platforms with Snapplify, EdTech partners can make it easier for shared customers to adopt and use their technology, while creating a foundation for more connected capabilities over time.

By integrating EdShed with Snapplify SSO, users at connected schools can access EdShed using their existing Snapplify identity. This reduces the need for another separate login and creates a simpler route from the education environment they already use into EdShed.
